Rootlegs

Physical Description

A Rootleg is an upright organism consisting of a primary trunk or torso with a varying amount of branching legs (4) and prehensile tails (3) at its lower end.  At the upward facing end of the trunk is a mouth containing teeth similar in appearance to that of a lamphrey's (1) and a fanlike array of black-purple forked tongues (2).

it is of note that the digestive system travels through the entirety of the creature, beginning at the main mouth and digestive sacs before traveling down through the secondary and tertiary mouths in each leg and down to the excretory orifices present on each of the "toes"  

Rootlegs can grow up to 7 feet tall and are covered in furlike sensory organs that vary in texture, lenghth and color like human hair.

In young specimens(A), the tail(s) are notably undeveloped and grow with age (B). Likewise, the toe polyps(C)also continue to develop, eventually becoming the next generation of offspring.
