Well, these are most of the ideas I haven't properly fleshed out yet. Feel free to read them, but know that they are subject to change. (Non-Canon)
Lots and lots of wacky gravity stuff
Should player 2 be able to control the cat?
I want a "twitch cat" mod
Dimensional hookshot propeller thing interfacet parkour
Niche cave area
Nichelings: creatures that start as amorphous black orbs with ears and eyes, then hide in cracks in the rock. As they grow, they harden, eroding the stone and making the crack wider, a Nicheling usually fills up the entirety of the crack it made it's home in. Essentially I took that one junji to story and made it cute.
Lucite cave (Meet Hal here, get lore dump on lucite)
Lucite: a translucent mineral with a geometric spiral structure. It is hallucinogenic and reality warping if consumed, it's the main power source of sanity's tech and also currency.
Lucite is a byproduct of the primordial chaos left over from the creation of the world. Outside of Mysteria it is a finite resource, but it continues to generate within Mysteria because the chaos is still there.
Horse skull head shape shifter girl named Delulu "Lulu") speaks in the voice of a little girl. Knows hal. Halfway to becoming an Addyx
Hal: after a rough relationship with Delulu, Hal struggled with depression and lucite addiction. For a long time, he roamed the land searching for anything that could dull the pain. He eventually found a secret cave full of lucite stronger than any he had ever taken before, he took a chunk and swallowed it, his mind drifted to a thought "would it be better if I didn't exist?" And thus, the lucite took effect, ripping him out of existence. Now he is as a ghost, you can only see him in the reflection of a lucite crystal, or if you are in an altered state of mind. You can hear him only if you are aware of him.
Addyx here?
Skeleton ribbon deer lady (might combine this with Addyx)
Her name is Delulu. Her origins are unknown. Not human.
Hal, about Lulu: "She'll lure you in with promises of pleasure beyond comprehension and leave you in darker places than you have ever known. Stay away from her. Don't answer her flirting. Don't take her Lucite. If there is such thing as a demon, she is one. Seriously, that Thing destroyed my life. "
She only has power when you let her. You can say no.
Abandoned carnival area with TONS of rail riding (amonacoaster?)
Vertically stacked night market with neon tube critters that twist themselves into glowing signs or move like inchworms.
"I'll have a half and a half plus half a half of half and half." - Bean's coffee order
"could you please order something normal for once?"
"nah, I've never been much of a Coffee Bean,
This is essentially a convoluted way to order a full cup of half and half (1/2+1/4+1/4)
Coaster critters here
Beach covered in oversized toys (Sanity keeps fading in and out of flashbacks here
More symbolic beach stuff here
Fffffrickin beach party!
Monolith society by shore
Aboveground coral area with floating fish
Tidepools and hot springs (MASSIVE!)
Put all the Cambrian nonsense critters here
Below the hot springs
Lucite fog suburban area (stoplight guy)
Unclear bomb
AI metaphor area with iris and the static river as well as the machine on top of the hill
Statikin, a race of beings produced from the static for their cheap worker cost and lack of human rights, iris is technically a Statikin
Sanity starts a series of strikes and the formation of a Statikin labor union by pointing out how bad their working conditions are
The static is produced by mixing lucite and water in an unknown way within the Black Box (later The Machine)
Static is essentially the generative AI of lucite. Touch it with your hand and the static permanently transforms into whatever you want it to (With some artifacting of course.)
When static ages, it coagulates into a substance called Slop. Slop has all the same properties as static but it is a paste
If you put your hand in static, it will instantly dissolve and re-generate with nearly imperceptible flaws, thus those who overuse static tend to develop deformities in their hands.
The machine is being run by The Man, but takes control once he is out of the picture
Webcrawlers and the new tower of babel data center thing
ocean but the water recedes around sanity Moses style to reveal desert
Prisms
Liminal stuff galore
Fractal area (Radi-el)
Endless misty ruins (looooooore)
Abandoned lab dome (not sanity's)
Infinite hotel
Note: the original was called the hilbert hotel, should that be canon?
I decided it should be called The Grand Hotel
"Welcome to the Grand Hotel where we have room for you!"
Floors of the infinite hotel include the library of babel and the poolrooms
Aleth/Aleph and Null here
Rimelight
Rimelight but robots
Miraquan wood (Melt it all!)
Goop?

Make. The. Boat. A. Dirigible
Morpheau (my dapper butterfly man) + make boat mecha butterfly? Should everything be made of bugs here?
The fog hole
Steeple towers (Christmas bells are ringing, light snow is falling and you cannot seem to reach the top of the endless stairs)
Christmas tree shaped structure made of thousands of interlinked scales (⚖️ not fish scales)
Sanity breaks down crying here and is comforted by an unknown presence
Biblically inaccurate "angels" here. In this area, sanity can receive the Halo, a powerful weapon that acts like an extremely hot metal boomerang. (Maybe tie this into a possible morality system?)
The "angels" here can look like rings and eyes, a more traditional humanoid with wings, or cherubs
Area where you are a literal river carving a massive canyon into the desert (maybe water buffalo, like buffalo made of water that stampede?)
Level where sanity is made of jelly or clay and molds herself into various shapes
Succulents here please
Endless crossroads
Newspaper area that turns into a paper-mache warzone
Obsidian black volcanic cavern area lit only by explosive bioluminescent plants and lava of all colors. Colorful lightning also. Lava Lamp Core. Caves in behind sanity as she runs.
The whole area is a massive Rube Goldberg machine
Metamorphs, creatures that shapeshift slowly inside cocoons over months
Potentially equipable weapon called the "Gender Blender"
It turns enemy drops into gender fluid which can be used in the cloning lab
Cloning lab is essentially a weird take on a character customization screen. You clone yourself with different features and swap bodies with them. You can swap back at any time. You can also have clones as party members, but they take up a party slot
Make a new body for Whinley here
This is also where the pill bucket guy is
Gander the iridescent toad creature. He has five limbs and likes making graffiti. Will eat or drink anything he is dared to.
Adhd teapot character maybe named Vezzul with water pouring from their mouth and eyes constantly (though the amount varies)
When you first meet them, the teapot is broken and you must collect the shards
Has a leitmotif reminiscent of I'm a little teapot
Carcosa (just straight up)
Meet Aster here
Aster: he's a whimsical little boy with a mask bearing the φ symbol. He's loosely based on the king in yellow. He is called the prince in gold.
Level where the area around where you walk fades into white void. Quickly fading dreamish
The museum of absolutely random nonsense
Guy sitting on the #1 spot on a podium or in a display case who refuses to leave despite it clearly causing him discomfort
Hovering orb named Orb who changes name to hOrb when he realizes the letter h exists.
hOrb. The capitalization must not be changed.
... hOrb realizes that uppercase h exists
His name is HhOrb now.
Achievements for various party configurations. (all non human, all math themed etc)
Abyssians (black hole face)
Area where sanity finds her own skeleton and has an existential crisis
Sanity lives the other side of this later
Unborn village
Twisted city
A valley of clay Homunculi that turn to face you when you look away
Curios:
My own skull that I found in the woods
Bucket of pills given to me by an ominous doctor in a lone clinic floating in a sea of glass shards.
Graham's toy: a puzzle consisting of a 12th dimensional hypercube simulated in hologram form. The edges of the shape change color between red, green, and blue when touched. The goal of the puzzle is to find an arrangement of edges where no 2d face of the cube is all one color. I have yet to solve it.
A double pendulum that moves as if there was no friction. I can't use it as a perpetual motion machine unfortunately because whenever I try to attach something to it, it adds friction and causes the pendulum to stop swinging.
A tiny clay homunculus. It's presence is comforting, but you feel vaguely like it is watching you. It resembles a character from a half-forgotten show you enjoyed when you were younger
A ball of yarn that is unnaturally tangled, it appears to have no start or end, and no way to untie it. Schrodinger has decided that it is his property, and I'm not going to argue
The antithesis of reality
What I can only describe as an unnervingly biological balloon animal, its skin feels taut as if at any moment it could burst and splatter me with viscera. It feels warm and squeaks when it moves. This thing makes me so incredibly anxious.
Clone nuggets: they smell delicious, but I am extremely disturbed at the thought of eating them due to it technically being my own flesh. Restores hp and hunger at a severe cost to mhp.
Tumblr cube
Turn Schrodinger into a catboy and sanity into a cat
Catboy Schrodinger tries to drive the Theseus while sanity clings to his back for dear life
They crash near a cliff, nearly falling off and sanity breaks down crying
"I just don't understand. No matter how many notes I take, no matter how long I study them, I just can't seem to make sense of this place" sanity said, gazing upwards at the lights that probably weren't stars.
" It's okay, I don't understand a lot of things, like the microwave, or coffee... or dogs, but that's never stopped me before. I mean, yesterday, I was a cat, today I'm a boy and who knows what we'll be tomorrow, so maybe it's best if we enjoy the present even when we don't understand."
Schrodinger calls Sanity "Mom" a lot
Orro (aurro) and Boris, two creatures constantly eating each other and regrowing
Also third snake not wanting to be involved
Khan'uey the game master (based on Conway's Game of Life)
Cantor Mandel: a relative of sanity's that learned a great deal about Mysteria, but went mad in the process, he ceased to exist by discovering the Antithesis of Reality.
In his notes:
"What is cosmic horror of not just math of a complexity that eludes us?"-Cantor Mandel
" I have turned the cognitive filters off on my suit. They fog my vision too much for me to be able to see my notes anymore"
October 7th 1584 never happened (yet)
It could happen at any time, suddenly and without warning
Let's do Flowers for Algernon and Rats of NIMH at the same time from mouse pov
Except swap the mice for people and oh yeah it's cosmic horror now (:
Random npc inspirations include: Burgess shale creature.
Tully monster.
Opabinia
Jaggedhead gurnard.
Light bulb tunicate.
Sputnik sea urchin.
Colobocentrus atrata
Legboot: the copy of a copy of a copycat merchant who sells clearly knockoff versions of iconic gear from other games. He is extremely anxious about how all the players of the game will perceive them and as such tries not to be perceived
Eventually, it is possible to convince them to leave their hideout behind a dumpster in an alley, and reveal their true form. (Only to reveal that they have completely covered themselves in items that they think will make them popular.)
Under all of that, which is gradually removed as you befriend them, Legboot resembles a long brown, furry wormlike entity with numerous branching leg/tail/tentacle appendages, which have delicate paws on their ends. Legboot has no eyes, but has styled their hair in such a way that one could imagine eyes beneath it. At the non-branching end of their body, there is a mouth reminiscent of a lamphrey's , this is positioned, in human terms, on the top of their "head" occasionally, a complex, fan-like array of tongues flick in and out of this mouth, or loll out of it like a dog's.
He constantly tries to sell you knockoff stuff
Such as: Lucky Glasses (accidentally broked em and had te replace one of de lenses. Hope u dont mind)
Or the Epsilon Hat : a cheaply made red cap with a ξ sloppily embroidered on it
Or the non-functional animal carrier (it's a green pokeball)
One cubic meter of dirt
The Triangleforce (it's serpinski's triangle)
And a ton of other random stuff
Whinley: a pool of wine-red liquid with thoughts and emotions, crushed again and again by a ceaselessly moving device. Whinley used to be human, some time long long ago in some other world, but it feels that it doesn't deserve to be.
The stone angel by the well describes him as "The memory of something that left a bad taste in the mouth of the All Consuming Void"
It can go in your bucket
He/it
"why would anyone love me. The only reason you care for me is that you don't know what I was, what I am."
Eventually, the liquid becomes a dark translucent jelly like material, forming into fragile hands and legs that emerge from the bucket. Overturning it and wearing it like a shell.
A sound like sobbing can be heard faintly from the bucket
• he wants to be forgiven
• he wants to change
• he wants to be loved
• but it is still him. He knows that deep down he is still _______
"at first, I cried and screamed, raging against my captors. But as years went by. I realized that this was the fate I deserved, over time, I forgot my world, I forgot my friends, and I forgot my name, but I never forgot what I did, why they hated me.
Are you willing to help him redeem himself?
An odd desert littered with craters full of water, water that jumps from hole to hole when approached
The plot hole 🕳️
Character whose outline is slightly offset and trails slightly behind them (they can also use it like a lasso or a weapon or turn it into wings and stuff)
Stan rig shrimp thingi
Neglected fish tank sequence where every time you look away, it gets stranger and worse (it is sitting on a table in a dilapidated building in the woods
Then the building disappears
The fish is upside down, then clipping through tank then swimming backwards and upside down above the tank, then it splits into hundreds of floating fish, the tank shatters and the shards stick to sanity, turning into fins
Flying/swimming with fish through the enormous floating ruins
A pair of legs with many many fish heads instead of a torso waxes poetic about the metanarrative. It's voice sounds kind of like the Princess's from STP at the beginning of a new run. Soft and with a flat but comforting tone.
Their name is Fishlegs
Valley of the Not-Gods
A Not-God is a massive benevolent entity that manifests as a great hand that comes down from the sky to reshape terrain and bestow gifts. They do not like to be worshipped
Trypophobia giraffe (those spots be holes now)
Grey goo/ grey fungus nodules area
Storm Thing, he lives in a shrine on top of a tall, dark, but not evil mountain
He is a lightning
Maybe have sequence where sanity and storm thing both turn into lightning and race through the clouds.
After his side quest, he supercharges your omnitool so you can get to the next area
Faux-Fox (this thing is more closely related to a koi fish than anything canine)
" There was a whale, suffocating under the sand. No one else saw it, no one else cared"
Bean
"allow me to sing you the song of my people!
Ahem : [COGNITOHAZARD REDACTED]"
Cel, a surfer dude who reproduces via mitosis occasionally. His origin story may involve him getting a big too high on lucite.
He can do the "In the Hills, The Cities" thing with his bros, but it really tires them out.
Also while assembling:"hup hup hup!"
There is a scene where he does this to carry Sanity over a massive ravine
Can also do human bridge as well as many other shenanigans with his bros
Always wearing a Hawaiian shirt and always greets his 99+ duplicates with "Hey Bro!" Which you will hear a chorus of when any large number of them get together.
Biblically accurate cel
Deadblood guy
Little floating sphere plant things
Mysteria version of object-heads: Gray human bodies often appearing with dull and plain clothes or nude with no indication of gender, their most notable characteristic is their lack of a head. (Some specimens have one or all extremities missing as well)
In their headless form, these entities have two goals: follow the crowd, and search for a suitable head (or other body parts)
Favorite heads include microwaves, televisions, spherical objects, and taxidermied or sculpted animal heads.
Will mob television stores. Usually these stores are staffed by Statikin.
Once a head is obtained, it hovers over the glowing neck stump and animates according to what object it is. The entity then takes on a completely new personality as if the object had come to life and possessed the entity. These entities are only able to speak in this form.
Unholy giraffe wheel
An endless snowfield dotted with spruce forests, cabins, and many, many, bonfires of all sizes
This is where the BonFir live
A BonFir's only purpose is to burn, they spend their whole lives gathering kindling and eventually set themselves ablaze in the center of a pile of wood via the lantern they carry on their tail
The BonFir then returns to ash and tar which clings to twigs along the ground, rebuilding it's body.
There are a finite number of BonFir, they do not reproduce, and cannot be killed
The purpose of the fires they build is to hold off the cold of the All Consuming Void.
The All Consuming Void loves to watch the fire.
The All Consuming Void is essentially the watchers mixed with the soul from utdr. It is the audience, never satisfied, it hungers for emotion, it creates and destroys to satiate it's own desire, it reaches out with it's thousands of shadowy hands, desperately trying to drag anything it can into itself. It yearns for love and pain, for drama and excitement and tragedy.
" Inside every human soul, is an empty pit, one that hungers and yearns for anything that could possibly fill it. The All Consuming Void, is the coalesce of that emptiness. Always chasing, always consuming, never satisfied."
Scapler, another one of Legboot 's species. Instead of Legboot 's knockoff junk, Scapler built his shell out of valuable objects, which he overcharges for immensely
Shellsea, another relative of Legboot's she sells seashells by the seashore :)
He's a squid with a hat, his name is Squat, (pronounced Squæt, rhymes with hat)
Creature: stares at u,
Sanity: why are you looking at me like that
Creature: oh, I wasn't looking at you, I was looking at the rain (it isn't raining)
Creature: continues to stare
Entity whose pleasure and pain receptors are mixed up, most of his attacks have recoil damage. He receives massive buffs at low hp. He likes spicy food. Sweets physically pain him. He enjoys being insulted. He bites his own tongue constantly. Has many tattoos.
Three-legged stone anthill character. It is covered in holes, through which the wind whistles flute like.
Steampunk creature that is actually a city of smaller steampunk creatures, who are themselves cities of even smaller automata in an infinitely recursive fashion. Their species is currently working to build their own massive automaton-city.

DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES: We still don't know what the frogs are or where they came from
You don't know why it was screaming, but you joined in anyway

Sanity: (talks about one of the events that took place earlier in the adventure)
Character that was definitely there when it happened: " What are you talking about, nothing like that ever happened"
There's an echo of my hopes and dreams, the person I wish I could be, running through the fields of my mind with a smiling someone. Some amalgam of the things that my my heart aches for. And they are smiling.
Five to ten random NPCs ask sanity if she is ok for no reason
"Now I am merely a shell of myself; awash in the waves"
